316L stainless steel tube composition and performance

Mo (2 to 3%) was added to the 316L stainless steel tube to obtain excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature creep strength.
316L features:
1) The product after cold rolling has gloss in external light;
2) adding a certain amount of molybdenum therein, which can enhance corrosion resistance, especially in pitting resistance;
3) Good temperature resistance;
4) has good work hardening;
5) no magnetic when in the solid solution state;
6) Compared with 316L stainless steel pipe , its price is relatively high. 316L materials are suitable for seawater equipment, oxalic acid, chemicals, food industry, paper, dyes, fertilizer production equipment, coastal facilities, etc.

Mechanical properties of 316L stainless steel tube . The yield strength is generally greater than or equal to 480 N/mm2; the tensile strength elongation ratio is greater than or equal to 40%; the hardness HB, HRB, and HV are less than or equal to 187, 90, and 200, respectively; the density is 7.87; the specific heat c; the resistivity is 0.71;

The domestic standard corresponding to 316L is 00Cr17Ni14Mo2, which has the same characteristics as 316 steel and has higher resistance to intergranular corrosion than 316. After adding the Mo element, the following aspects can effectively improve the performance, such as: intergranular corrosion, oxidation resistance, the probability of effectively reducing the tendency of hot cracking during the welding process, and resistance to chloride corrosion.
